The full name of ErP is the Energy-related Products Directive.
It is a mandatory EU regulatory framework that establishes ecological design requirements for all "energy-related products" placed on the EU market.
The core, well-known aspect of reducing the environmental impact of products throughout their lifecycle (from raw material acquisition to final disposal) by setting minimum ecological design requirements is energy efficiency.
Since 2015, the minimum efficiency requirements for wind turbines have been clearly defined. The regulation was revised in 2024 and published in document number 2024/1834. The new version of the regulation, called ErP2026, will take effect in 2026 and 2027.
According to regulatory requirements, the fan efficiency measurement must cover the entire system composed of the rotor, motor, and stator. If these core components come from different suppliers, equipment manufacturers must provide compliance certification documents that meet EU standards.
As a leading wind turbine manufacturer in the industry, Schnirofan will be fully responsible for the accuracy of the efficiency information and will provide you with the EC conformity declaration required for compliance.
